These days we are too often caught up in what “we” have to do every day. A funeral just throws a monkey wrench into “our” plans. It’s too inconvenient, or we don’t like to think about dying, or we are afraid of what’s on the other side (with good reason), so we just bury (sorry) the thought of our own demise. Maybe the reality of a funeral procession hits too close to home (our own mortality). In light of eternity, our life is truly as the Scripture says, just a vapor that appears for an instant and is gone forever…

My mother once told me that you can’t tell how much somewone loves by how much they love, but by how much others love them. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering,kindness,faithfulness, gentleness, and self controll…those kinda folks are often loved, by so many you can’t keep people away from their funeral. You both may be right and the person who had passed was a true believer, and had long out lived their family, but chances are, no. Like you I hope not.

I think he means that their were only 2 cars…He could be thinking he should have more cars or more that cared for the person…Making more cars to appear at the funeral procession…I think he is saying it is something to consider for ourselves….What would our funeral procession look like if we were to pass away…It is something to think about
