For Kevin in Virgina….I have a 2003 Honda Element with 166,000 miles on it. I change the oil every 20,000 miles with Amsoil 0W-30 and use no oil between changes. You stated the MPG is off and it uses a quart oil a month. Here are some things to you might do.
1. Check the plugs
2. Do a compression and leak down check. This will give you a status of the engine. Your auto repair shop will explain why important given your situation.
