I think my Pastor, Pastor Al Gilbert deserves the trip to the race because of how he faithfully leads us every Sunday, and he is always around after the service greeting people as they leave the building ….

I think my Pastor, Pastor David McGee, Senior Pastor of the Bridge out of Kernersville, NC, deserves to win this trip because of all that he gives to his congregation and to the Community. He is an incredible man of God. He started our Church out of his home about 8 years ago. It has grown to about 2600 in attendance every week. The reason it has grown is because Pastor David opens the Word of God… and teaches it chapter by chapter and verse by verse straight thru. People are hungry for the truth and he teaches the truth! He is also raising up other men in our Church to be incredible men of God, Pastor DA, Pastor Mike and Pastor Kevin. They all deserve trips too! He lets God work thru him to change lives. He has given his life totally over to God!
I vote for Pastor David McGee too! Let’s give him some time for fun and a break. And yeah, what Sheryl said!

I am nominating my pastor, Rev. Mitchell Gregory of Cary Alliance Church in Cary NC to receive the trip to the Dollar General 300. He is a great preacher who preaches the worship of the Lord every Sunday. He also has the skills to keep a church of 400+ people running smoothly inside the church and outside in the community. Not only is he possessed of a generous spirit, but he is truly a humble servant of his congregation. And he has given to his country thru his middle son, who is a seal serving in Afghanistan.
He is also currently serving as pastor at a small, local church that is trying to revive itself. Double duty means longer days and extra calls and visits added to his usual list.
Did I mention that, with all this, he, being born in South Carolina, is a big NASCAR fan and would really enjoy a day at the races.
I am nominating my pastor Tim Heath from Smithfield NC, who also happens to be my husband. No one knows better than a pastor’s wife just how much a man of God puts into his work which is His work. Most of our members have know idea the number of hours he put in. Like all of the middle of the night call, hospital visits of not only members but their friends that they have requested he go and see…. All of the counseling on the phone and after church when others have left, but he never complains. He puts his heart and soul in everything he plans for our church. We probably don’t have many members who will look at this site to do this themselves but if anyone does, help me out here. He came across this site because he is actually already planning an outreach event for father’s day and said how cool this would be. Thanks for considering sending this hard working preacher for a little r&r that he has always wanted to do.
I am nominating my wonderful pastor because of his selfless actions in service to our Lord. I have known pastor John Langdon for 15 years. He was my associate pastor for 14 years at Grace Church and has been pastoring his own church “The Mission” in High Point for the past year.
He started a ministry at our old church called” Helping Hands”. This is an emergency food pantry which serves those in need of food,clothing and monies to get them over the hump. He never turns anyone away. He ministers to each and every individual. He knows them by name.He follows them through the hard times offering advise and counsel.Never judging anyone. He has been in their very shoes as a young boy. Being abandoned by his birth mother and left at the hospital only to be adopted by abusive parents. Wow, what a story. He has overcome so much. He has a wonderful wife, three grown children and two beautiful grand children. This man is amazing. I have never called when he has not come immediately. He truly has a servant heart and loves the Lord. For this reason he deserves a get-a-way at the track. Please choose my pastor, my friend John Langdon.

ONCE I NOTICED WHO IT WAS, SHE WAS A FISH OUT OF WATER. THE BLOND WAS CAROLYN CHAPMAN. DR GARY CHAPMAN’S WIFE. SO I CLIMB DOWN FROM THE HAULER AND WALKED UP TO HER. SHE TOOK ONE LOOK AT ME AND SAID WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?? I SAID , ME?? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE IS THE QUESTION??? SHE WAS THERE TO SING FOR THE WORSHIP SERVICE THAT IS HELD FOR THE DRIVERS. I’VE KNOW THE CHAPMANS FOR OVER 30 YRS. THEY ARE DEAR FRIENDS, AND OF COURSE GARY HAS BEEN ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF OUR CHURCH FOR 40 YRS. I nominate Bob Cloninger of Gastonia, NC . Pastor Bob has been in ministry for 50 years in NC, SC and Va. He continues to serve at age 74.
