Wouldn’t it be good to bury you car debt knowing that something good would spring up from it. You can! Don’t lose hope or faith that Jesus is right with you in this. Jesus said in John 12:24: Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

So some seeds never die but are in the ground alone and never grow to bear much fruit, yet others die (change form from decay and life forms and feeds on the decaying matter) and spring up bearing the seed for many more of the same plant as Paul would describe in 1 Cor 15-36-37:  You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.”

Reading C.S. Lewis book ‘Pilgrims Regress‘ he notes from his character Wisdom, (like Bunyan’s Pligrim’s Progress, named by their attributes), Wisdom instructs “Death is life’s mode, and the increase of life is through repeated death.

So with all that, how in the world can we bury our car debt in hopes that it will bear fruit? First it has to die in other words you have to pay it off; be that one payment at a time, or two payments or all together as soon as possible… NEXT IS THE BEAUTIFUL THING.

Change the form from the death and let life feed on the decay. Life comes from being out of bondage out of the darkness of the recesses of the earth. Secondly, you share how Christ has set you free from the bondage of debt in this case car debt. If you tell others the benefits of being out of debit you have changed the form, taken up your cross by sharing your story of death and bondage and share life and freedom. Bear much fruit.

Paul words on this kind of boasting are so amazingly fruitful 2 Cor 12:9b “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.Yes, I was  foolish and ran up all kinds of debt, car debt, credit card debt. Yet, Christ set me free from not trusting God to meet my wants before I could afford them, tell the story, people can relate to my foolishness they can’t to my arrogance and self righteousness.

Don’t waste a good weakness. Sow it and bear much fruit.
