My name is Bryce Napier and I am now a 16 year old NASCAR Whelen series driver.

newspic41516I won two main events in NASCAR Whelen All American Series-sanctioned Late Models at Stockton 99 Speedway, earning “Rookie of the Year”.  I was also honored with the  UNOH Youth Achievement Award in 2014.

rightsiteI have always been interested in how things work.  When I was young, I wouldn’t just push toy cars across the room, I would grab a screwdriver and pull them apart to find out how I could make them lighter and faster.

I’m totally committed to racing.  I’ve never played ball sports nor am I into the things a typical 15 year old teenager likes to do.  If I have a day off from school I am either working on my racecar or helping my dad with his HVAC construction business installing furnaces or doing plumbing and electrical work.

I am very interested in working with kids especially in terms of promoting my involvement with the Support Military Foundation.  I enjoy bringing my race car to schools and and talk with the students and teachers about my race car and racing program.  This has proven to be an excellent time to speak about the SupportMilitiary.Org Foundation and remind them about the sacrifices our soldiers make to preserve our freedom and way of life. I also support and work with the Wreaths Across America program.

My goal is to become a mechanical engineer and  I attend a career training High School in order to advance my knowledge and skills. My father always tells me when I can’t do something “ just figure it out, you can do it”. That’s exactly how I do things.  I just keep trying until I get it.

I do much of the mechanical work on my race car myself, At the track I get out of the car and talk to my crew chief and observe and help the crew do whatever work needs to be done to the car.  Between sessions I’m used to crawling around underneath the car, avoiding the hot metal, lending a hand and helping to do whatever needs to be done.   Then I just zip my suit back up, get back in and drive the car. I like to know that everything is done correctly which gives me the confidence to go out and race hard knowing that my equipment is sound and that with a little luck and a strong focus on my part that a good finish will be the result.

We have a small crew of friends in support, but we are looking for additional sponsors and marketing partners so that I can continue to chase my dreams of running in the NASCAR K&N Series at 16 and then to move up and race in The Camping World Trucks, Xfinity, and finally in the Sprint Cup Series.

I appreciate your consideration and support.

Bryce Napier
