Jesus said it and said it -“The One Who Sent me” 26 times in the gospel of John, Jesus makes reference to the one who sent Him; WHY? Just let your heart ponder that.
When Moses was getting his mission from God, (in exodus 3and 4) one of his doubts was, “How will they know that the God of our fathers sent me?” So God gave him three really bizarre miracles to show his people.
- Staff to Serpent
- Leprous Hand then healed
- Water from the river poured on the ground that becomes blood
Three witnesses that God was for him. Ever ponder those and what was the meaning for my heart? I have been pondering all week and to share some thoughts, these would appear to address three ways that I fear that God is not for me.
- He doesn’t control the serpent
- He won’t heal me if I get sick
- He won’t take the curse from the ground of my heart – make it good soil -(after all I am butt dust)
Back to Jesus, TWENTY SIX times He assures us that The Three are All together in this work as John explains in 1John 5
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
1John 5:6-8
