There was an amazing scene in the New Movie ‘Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood’, where Fred Rogers whispered to the alcoholic sick dying Father something to which the father replied, “You Can count on it!” and you could see the jubilation on the father’s face.

Moments later the son followed Fred out to his car and asked him what he had said to his father. The answer was a picture of grace and the power of choice. Fred Rogers told him “I asked him to pray for me, seeing him in this way he has to be close to God now and I need the prayers.” The power of Mr. Roger’s choosing the father in that scene is a hint of the power you and I have when we choose…

Deuteronomy 4:36-37 illustrates the choice God made when he chose us and made us to hear His voice… 36 Out of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire. 37 And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them[a] and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power,

That was God’s choice and you have been chosen, because He loved your fathers… You can believe that… Think about how we can reflect that love by choosing those who don’t believe they deserve it, LIKE FRED ROGERS DID…. POWERFUL
