Annoying when you hear it; but oh how sad the day it stops. The sad truth about that is that either they have lost hope, or lost faith in your answer, or they are no longer along for the ride. Take your pick they are all phenomenally sad but at least two of these are a loss of faith.

I believe that’s why the Bible is filled with stories of men of great faith asking that very question of God and I am now considering how He appreciates the faith.

King David Psalms 13:1 “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?”

Habakkuk 1:2 “O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

The questions I also hear them asking – “What Do I Do?” – “What am I missing?” – “How do I interpret this situation?” – “What do I believe?” Perhaps somewhere along the way I became a human doing instead of a human being; I want to do something or for goodness sake, God, You do something.

In this year 2023 – Covid again, really, after all the devastation, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Darfur in Sudan, Abortion, Shenanigans in Congress – ARE WE THERE YET?

So I can choose to Be, rather that to do or get something done for me. Be a son and simply ask and trust. Like the song below shares, “Look where we are, won’t you look with me and tell me what you see, riding in the car.” Continue to watch and the first thing the dad points out is an Eagle. How many Eagles have I missed being so concerned and worried that I wasn’t paying attention to the Journey… Just Sayin
