John Eldredge points out in his first Boot camp Talk – “The Core Desires of A Man’s Heart” – “The first thing God chose to say about man in the book of Genesis may be the most important thing you can understand: and that is that you were made in the image of God male and female. Throughout that talk John points out that if you look at little boys you get a good look at God. Little boys long for battle, adventure and a beauty to rescue. So the boys, (as is the girls), heart is a reflection of God’s heart and that beauty He wants to rescue is me.
