This week, again I was studying William Gurnall’s Classic “The Christian in Complete Armor” and he asked a question that really focused my attention a long time issue in my life. As your day goes along what kind of company is your heart keeping? My problem is I get a great start in my devotion time every morning as I get filled with the Holy Spirit then my problem is “I LEAK”. Thank God truly for the Church and brothers who help me along my week and Christian Radio can help, but still “I Leak!”
How cool would it be to have a God Gauge to check how you are doing throughout the day. William Gurnall provided a list of heart check questions you can ask yourself throughout the day. I then went and added a GrandFather Chime App to my smart phone to remind me to check my God Gauge. The question is what kind of company is my heart keeping what are the current thoughts I am focused on sort of a heart check. Below is the Simple Quick List I compiled to check my God Gauge.
My Current Thoughts: Are They?
1. proud, unclean, distrustful
2. vain, frothy, empty, water running beside the mill
3. If good: is it the season and are they in faith?
Easy to do and with my new GrandFather chime App I am constantly reminded…..
