It’s The Stuff of hundred of Christmas Movies and Romantic Comedies: WHO IS – THE ONE?

You may recognize this quote from Deuteronomy 6:4

To begin with who is Israel ? Jacob got his name, “Israel” from wrestling with God and it truly means to contend with God, yes we all can be contenders. We all were meant to wrestle with dad, test our strength.. more on that in today’s show.

Now comes the really cool word, God is One. The more I thought about that the more I felt like Arnold in Different Strokes speaking to God – “What You Talkin About Willis”.

One is an amazing, amazing word in that although it is a numeral it has so many different meanings, here are a few I thought about.

A numeral with the power of an adjective 

  1. United – the power of oneness
  2. First – best – we’re number one
  3. Singular 
  4. Some one – indefinite article
  5. Only one incomparable 
  6. One time – once – a time reference
  7. The Fathers Ratzon – “Delight”United as reflecting God’s glory For service
