January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and the 11th was the Day. We are blessed this Saturday to bring you a team of folks to help us all learn what we can do and how we may pray as this horrific crime Human Trafficking is not only ravaging the world as number as the #2 fastest growing illegal industry but also ravaging the USA. As I have prayed about this and studied it I believe I have some practical ideas that would help communities.  SEE BELOW..

Practical Ideas for Local Communities and States:

After studying the problems reading the reports and watching the videos below I want to share these thoughts. #1 Clearly God’s Kingdom coming in individuals lives is the real solution and everyone we disciple for Christ becomes a light. I also have some thoughts I believe would help socially.

The video below from Ireland really hits on something and that is this whole horrific industry is driven on money and demand. In order to put a dent in the problem would take vast amounts of money due to the internet pornography explosion corrupting our youth the natural result of is a demand of gigantic proportions. However, as my Irish friend suggest to put long jail terms on the people purchasing the slave’s services, which would have an effect but would end up costing society even more money, Jails being over filled to begin with,  so as I though through this here would be a practical suggestion I think.

Have extremely high fines on conviction of purchasing sex, even higher on pimping and in all cases including the victims require sexual counseling, since they have money to buy, why not use that for good.  I am talking like $5, 000 for the first offense of purchasing and $100,000 for pimping, $10,000 for the second offense etc… Then ear mark all that money to fight the problem with these ideas.

First advertise similar to drunk driving fines what it will cost you to purchase sex and get caught; TV, Radio, Billboards.  A targeted way to do this would be similar to the internet technology where if you go to a car dealer site you then get bombarded with car ads every time you use face book or check your email, that’s because somehow they get your computer’s IP address. Why not have the same kind of thing for any computer that looks at a known porno site, that person needs to see an ad that getting caught buying sex will cost them$5,000 plus get their name in the paper and listed as a sexual predator. At the bottom of that ad should be a number to call if you need help with a sexual addiction and  create a national hotline for that.

Another idea would be to incentivize the enforcement of the law, give every precinct police dept, State Police a level of collection on fines for this would result in a raise. I would imagine they would be paying a lot more attention if they felt that it made a difference and also helped their families.

With a national hotline for sexual addiction funded by all these fines you could also incorporate counseling centers that could possibly help the victims of internet pornography before they become part of the demand.

Similar laws and fines could be brought to the porno industry that fuels a lot of what is happening.
