There is some really amazing Wisdom to be found in cutting up a Chicken. If you have ever tried to perfect that butchering technique you know there is a certain way that it just comes apart, the thigh from the back and the wing from the breast. If you have ever processed a deer even more so, I’m quite sure if you wanted a hilarious, America’s Funniest Videos my first attempt at that would be a contender, I would say I spent nearly 20 minutes to remove the shoulder, which many, many deer later I can now do in about 3 seconds and every time I do I wonder at how amazing God put us together a sinew in just the perfect place, a mussel group or nerve. Are you wondering what does this have to do with King of The Road, everything.
I love to feel words and believe that God actually gave us an alphabet to do that with, we just need the decoder ring and that is the Hebrew alphabet. They are pictures that are each worth more than a thousand words. In the case of ROAD, Biblically there are two that are usually used. My rough English translation of these words would be, Highway and path and in a really cool way we find both in the book of Judges.
Judges 5:6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways
To illustrate the Hebrew letters in picture form, (if you will allow my interpretation here) the first Highway Strong’s H734 is: the master – heading for – life, the second, path or byways in this case Strong’s H5410 is The faithful servant -heading for God’s- Home
A study of those two words is beyond beautiful as their usage in the Bible speaks to our choices in life so clearly. I would mention that when someone is on the wrong path; every time I could find it in the Bible they were on the Highway and when being show the ancient paths or the better way of thy word is a light it is the word Path or in Hebrew NATHIB.
Now back to processing my deer, look at the word right before NATHIB in the Strong’s concordance with the same root and that word H5409 NETACH and that word is: pieces of flesh, specifically the pieces cut up for sacrifices, you may remember all those passages where God was telling the Levites how to properly cut up the sacrifices. The point is: it takes wisdom to know where to cut as does taking the path over the highway. Check out some ways God illustrated this, now that you have this understanding.
Job 28:7 –There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:
A careful study of that chapter and verse in context, Job is telling you, when you are on that path to God’s Kingdom, the vulture nor the lion-ie.. Your enemy, Satan can’t see you. Go to the end of that chapter.
Job 28:28 –And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
By all means Jeremiah 6:16 gives us a path to heaven.
Jeremiah 6:16 –Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, H5410 where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
