In the Book of Job chapter 41 we get a great look at Satan, what he is, how he looks, his job description and perhaps best of all who his boss is. All amazing stuff to ponder but the one that really grabbed me today was verse nine.

“Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?”

Job 41:9

Really studying the Hebrew here’s one way I would translate this would be – “Leviathan’s expectation is you will believe his lie and so you will be downcast”.

No doubt I believe way to many lies; but among the worst are the ones I sell myself..
