Energize Ministries is hitting the road once again, this time bringing love and encouragement to church leaders in New England with the “Pray for Your Pastor” bus tour! According to Energize Director, Andy Bowersox, the ultimate hope of the bus tour is to continually engage a growing army of Christians to be more actively caring for, praying for and supporting their own pastors.
“The statistics are eye-opening. Over 1,500 pastors leave their post each month due to burnout, conflict or moral failure, and more than half of pastors currently serving would leave their job right now if they had another way to make a living,” says Bowersox. “Congregations who intentionally support, encourage and pray for their ministry leaders can make such a huge difference in the health of their churches and, ultimately, the body of Christ.”
The Pray for Your Pastor bus tour will be making stops at churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine throughout the month of June. During that time, Energize staff will be delivering care packages to pastors and ministry leaders, speaking at various churches and praying with clergy members.
