You May agree with the Apostle Paul, from Romans 3:10 RSV (Robby Simple Version) “There are no righteous drivers, no not even one”. Fortunately for us there are TZADIKS. Yep, Noah is one, Abraham, Moses, David but as you might guess #1 on the list would be Jesus. Superman is also on that list as two good Jewish boys, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, were the children of Jewish immigrants. They were actually talking Tzadik and that big red “S” on his chest was the first letter of that word which also mean righteous. The S went well with Superman and away you go.

What these two Jewish men envisioned as their Messiah from Jeremiah 23:5 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.” Is by all means, Superman, Truth, Justice and The American Way. So naturally he has a breast plate of righteousness. So do you, it’s built in, you reflect God. Just listen to the smallest child; fairness is a huge deal.

When I was on the mission trip to Jamaica last summer we were serving in an orphanage for the unloved special needs children of the country. Most adolescents that were there were crib bound because no one took the time to teach them how to walk or go to the bathroom on their own. No language skills, YET there were TZADIKS, I saw one for sure. The few that could walk often bullied the ones that couldn’t. One boy about 15 was in his crib having an amazing time with the plastic wrapper from the diaper packaging, the little bully came over snatched it from him and just threw it to the ground and taunted him. Another crib bound boy about 5 beds over saw it and started going crazy to get my attention to make this “RIGHT”. Yep its built into our hearts because its in God’s heart.

The real challenge is that when you corrupt a TZADIK they will kill innocent people, religious zealots of all kinds are corrupt Tzadiks, road rage, self righteous people, “It’s Not Fair!” the corrupt little Tzadiks cry. This force is more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall building in a single bound, I am not kidding you, it was designed that way.

Going back to Jeremiah 23:5, I believe helps unlock the secret of the TZADIK, the one that really is unbeatable. That verse in Hebrew has four of those Tzad(K) lettters in it and where you see the others to me is critical to understanding. Jesus said in John 15:5,“I am the vine you are the branches”. That word branch in Hebrew has everything to do with the Tzad(k) because so does Tree. It is upright. So does Earth by the way which is the last Tzad(k) in Jeremiah 23:5.

My point is that, yes, we have super powers when it comes to being a Tzadik which Satan loves, loves, loves to corrupt. Our only chance to get the real breast plate of righteousness is to be connected to The Vine, Jesus the Tree of Life. Aaron’s breast plate had the twelve tribes on it not just Aaron’s tribe the Levites. There is real power here folks, Jim Jones got people to kill themselves, Hitler got millions to kill millions thinking it was the right thing to do.

Righteous driving requires the TREE, the true TZADIK, the one Paul was describing as the Righteous One. The great news is you can ask Him and He will come live in you and through you, so that all that power can be used to LIGHT UP the highway. When did you see what I am talking about, real super powers for what is Right?
