To an insured driver in the US a total loss collision claim looks something like when ( Salvage Value+ Cost of Repairs > Actual Cash Value of the vehicle) In other words if Old Red my 1995 Dodge Dakota with 393,000 had damage exceeding about $1,000 it would be a total loss because the Salvage Value $200 + cost of repair $1,300 exceeds the actual cash value of a 1995 Dodge Dakota with that many miles about $900. That’s the basic formula but there is more to it as certain States have certain laws having to do with TLF (total loss formula) as stated above they determine thresholds of usually 75%.
Simply put if its going to cost close to as much to fix your car as it is worth it’s probably going to be totaled. Now we start a new process called, “How Much Am I going to Get?” We will share some tips on that in today’s show but back to the original Question: What Is A Total Loss to Jesus? – When is something not worth fixing?– A completely different but pertinent question is: When is a relationship not worth fixing? or even: When is a church not worth fixing?
I bet you may wish like I do that there was a simple TLF formula for those, maybe you know one and if you do please call today 866-348-7884 we will be live at 10am ET today August 20,2016… Or please call in today with your view on these issues I would love to hear it.
After all from God the Father’s perspective the cost of repairing one single life meant unthinkable agony and bloodshed of His only begotten Son. A higher value than any price ever paid. Then add that to my salvage value 0ught times ought is equal to ought so we will call that nothing, yet here I am. What is my value to God? Great question to ponder? So what is my brother or His Church worth?
Apart from Jesus we don’t stand a chance with these difficult situations, so abiding is the only place I know to go with this, but again I am praying that my listeners have some wisdom for me on this one today so please call 866-348-7884.
