Ever Wonder why God didn’t give you a Big Screen TV to see out of, why these two little Eyes? That question gave me this amazing insight to Proverbs 29:18. Especially when you observe the Hebrew letter Ayin above. The letter is a picture of eyes, vision actually; note the top and the bottom and there is a miraculous discovery, (at least for me). The answer to both is depth perception. The two start out far from one another but then unite. That simple.

When the prodigal son finally opened his eyes the thing that made all the difference was his distance from the father – DEPTH PERCEPTION.

So the really, really cool thing about this is that if you move closer to God as your dept perception allows you to see how to move closer, even if I don’t move an inch -WE are closer to God. Even more amazing if I move closer to God and you move even more now we have started to get more light, (which by the way is how we see to begin with). The closer we get to Him, His Word, His people, oh my the lights shine brighter for everyone… SIMPLE RIGHT –
