In the 23rd Psalm many are familiar with the statement but what does it look like?
Once again in the Song of Songs Chapter 1 verse 7
“Tell me, you whom my soul loves,
Song of Songs 1:7
where you pasture your flock,
where you make it lie down at noon;
for why should I be like one who veils herself
beside the flocks of your companions?“
Then the good shepherd himself teaches us even more. John 10:11
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
John 10:11
Then John shares these words in his 1st Epistle 1John 3:16
“By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.”
1 John 3:16
Good dad’s are shepherds and that means we fend off predators, provide food, water, what is needed so that our children will be able to rest, chew on God’s word, and see it’s OK to lay down their life for Jesus get a God hug and then lay down for their brothers.
