After Spending the Week at sea with my family on a sail boat my mind kept coming back to these tell tails (wools), marked here on the sail above the tachometer. To a sailor I suppose these are kinda like a tachometer, being a tell tail sign of how your sails are trimmed, (taking the winds force and using it to maximum effect to move you forward). If the inside tell tail starts circling instead of flying straight back like this one it means you need to tighten the sail or adjust your course back out to the wind. If the outside tell tail is circling instead of flying straight back then you need to either let the sail out more or steer more into the wind.
Similarly with a tachometer you can see where to get your maximum gearing to use the available engine thrust. A tell tale of the trim of your gearing perhaps. Surely a tell tale of engine performance in any case.
So what is your tell tale for your driving or gas mileage? Or even more importantly what is your tell tail for walking with God? In my case I can tell by my Journal like a sail tell tail it tends to circle around when I am floundering and when I get closer it gets straight to the point… My search today is to see what other tell tails we might look for in our spiritual sail setting…
